Our People

Dana E. Lane, CPA, graduated Cum Laude from the University of Maine in 1975. He Worked eleven years for various accounting firms including Tofias, Fleishman, Shapiro & Co., P.C. as a manager when they had an office in Portland, Maine. He worked twelve years for Maine Rubber International, a manufacturing firm in Gorham, ME as their Vice President of Finance and Treasurer. In 1999, he formed Dana E. Lane, CPA. Mr. Lane specializes in small business, tax and consulting.

Dana Lane has handpicked a support staff that shares and supports his ideals. Each member of our staff is an expert in his or her area.

Our History

The original firm began with general accounting and tax services for business and individuals. This developed into tax planning, minimization of tax liabilities for individuals and corporations, and consulting services. We believe in “old school” principles, but we also believe in keeping up with the needs of individuals and businesses in this rapidly changing world.

Our Credentials

Our firm participates in the Peer Review program prescribed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maine Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Lane is also a member of the American Institue of Certified Public Accountants, Maine Society of Certified Public Accountants, Maine Accountants Professional Association, and the Institute of Management Accountants.
